"I live in the Haight-Ashbury area of San Francisco and I love it," said Velvet. "My neighbors are either hippies who have been there since the 60's or gay people. Sure there are some straight girls like me, too. It's a real fun place to live. I hope I never have to leave it. I work in a New Age book store-what else?--with a really cool bunch of people, mostly gay.
